How Cells Eat

How Cells Eat

We as humans need to eat and drink to survive, but so do our cells. Our cells use a process called endocytosis, to ingest nutrients, fluids, proteins and other molecules.

During endocytosis, the cell membrane curves inward, essentially forming a mouth to engulf ingestible “food”. In order for this to happen, it starts with some cellular choking. Where the membrane begins to curve, dynamin and lipid molecules are wedged together uncomfortably. The lipids, more flexible than the proteins, shift within the membrane to relieve overcrowding. As they do so, the membrane bends even more, forming a gaping maw around the meal. The process continues until the two membrane lips meet, fully engulfing the food.

Dynamin seals the mouth shut by encircling the region where the lips meet and tightening to form a pucker. Finally, cellular energy called GTP bites down, releasing the sustenance into the cell.

Just as a good meal can be ruined by indigestion, endocytosis can be hijacked by parasites, bacteria and viruses that enter and infect human cells.

Viruses are perfect parasites. It has been known for decades that once a virus gets inside a cell, it hijacks the cellular processes to produce virally encoded protein that will replicate the virus’s genetic material. Viral mechanisms are capable of translocating proteins and genetic material from the cell and assembling them into new virus particles. Contemporary research has revealed specific mechanisms viruses use to get inside cells and infect them.

Having a healthy immune system protects us by first creating a barrier that stops those invaders, or antigens, from entering the body. And if one slips by the barrier, the immune system produces white blood cells, and other chemicals and proteins that attack and destroy these foreign substances. It’s inevitable that a virus or bacteria is going to enter our bodies, it’s how our body responds that keeps us healthy or gets us sick.

Also the “food” you are feeding your cells has to be small enough to penetrate the cell membrane AND survive the stomach’s acid.

REVIVIFY® is a supplement that has the absolute best immune fighting nutrients on the planet. It has a patented process that makes the molecule small enough to enter the cell and it survives stomach acid.

With 2 patented ingredients and a patented process REVIVIFY® is the world’s best supplement for the immune system.

Ingredient Spotlight: Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) for Younger Looking Skin

Revivify Ingredient Spotlight - Superoxide Dismutase (SOD)

Ingredient Spotlight: Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) for Younger Looking Skin

If you’re a skin and beauty freak, like most women are, you’re always looking for the next breakthrough product or ingredient that will lead you to the fountain of youth. So for the skincare-obsessed, SOD means something disruptive and very much a scientific breakthrough. It means a youthful complexion, or in short, the long-awaited fountain of youth. Short for Superoxide Dismutase, SOD is the first line of defense against free radical damage, meaning it protects your skin against visible signs of aging as it fights off free radicals and the damage they leave behind. Superoxide Dismutase is in our patent pending formula REVIVIFY® Gel Pro-Vitality product.

What exactly is Superoxide Dismutase?

Superoxide Dismutase is the most powerful antioxidant enzyme in the body. It’s crucial to cellular health because it’s the first roadblock that free radicals—unstable atoms that cause premature aging—encounter when they attempt to damage the cell. If free radicals are the car thieves trying to steal your car, SOD is the car alarm that instantly goes off. At the first hint of free radicals, the Superoxide Dismutase alarm sounds and sends the police, or, in this case, free radical-destroying antioxidants.

While the police are on their way, Superoxide Dismutase is working hard fending off free radicals by breaking them down into less destructive molecules. This sets the stage for other antioxidants to finish the elimination process. And if it weren’t for this “SOD” alarm, the other antioxidants in your body wouldn’t come to the rescue nearly as fast. In fact, the entire process of eliminating free radicals would be 10,000x slower, leaving a lot more time for cellular damage.

Why should I add Superoxide Dismutase into my beauty and skincare routine?

Superoxide Dismutase production has been known to significantly decline with age and to top it off, getting older means that free radical formation is at an all-time high. What we’re trying to say here is, we all need a little extra protection—free radicals are always on the loose. Incorporating Superoxide Dismutase into your beauty, health and wellness routine won’t stop the free radicals from trying to steal the car, but it will stop them from taking away smooth, glowing, healthy skin.

By protecting your skin from free radical damage, Superoxide Dismutase prevents visible signs of aging. Even better, it helps repair signs of aging. It does this by promoting a youthful complexion, encouraging resilient skin. It also fights hyperpigmentation, from sun damage, age spots, and acne marks, for an even-toned complexion. It’s anti-inflammatory, too, so it’s very helpful for de-puffing under the eyes

You’ll notice brighter, bouncier, younger-looking skin over time. So for those of you skincare obsessed looking for your anti-aging jackpot product, look no further. Our Gel Formula with SOD is your new fountain of youth.

How do Antioxidants Boost Your Immune System?

Antioxidants are powerful compounds in our foods and supplements that keep our immune systems working strong.

Many natural cellular processes in our bodies create waste, some of which form free radicals. If these highly reactive substances aren’t neutralized, they can cause damage in our bodies which can lead to inflammation. A consistently high state of inflammation is considered to be a precursor to many common conditions in older adults, such as cardiovascular disease and various types of cancer.

The good news is that our bodies create antioxidants to balance this damage out! Antioxidants bind to free radicals and suppress their damage. However, since we are exposed to additional free radicals from pollution, cigarette smoke, pesticides, radiation, and some processed foods, we need to also take in additional antioxidants to neutralize the free radicals.

How can I get more antioxidants?

Antioxidants are found in many plant foods. Taking supplements rich in antioxidants, like REVIVIFY® For Life ensures you are getting proper amounts necessary to combat free radicals. Resveratrol is part of a group of compounds called polyphenols. They’re thought to act like antioxidants, protecting the body against damage that can put you at higher risk for things like cancer and heart disease It’s in the skin of red grapes, but you can also find it in peanuts and berries and certain supplements.

Antioxidants have been studied to have numerous benefits on cell rejuvenation, combating free radicals in your body and reversing the signs of aging.

Energy, Strength and Well Being

Well-being is a positive outcome that people perceive when their lives are going well. Well-being is associated with self-perceived health, longevity, mental and physical illness, productivity and factors in the physical and social environment. Health promotion is the part of well-being and Energy and strength is the integral part of health. REVIVIFY®/ RELATES WELL WITH HEALTH PROMOTIONS.

Well-Being is associated with “Longevity” and “Aging”.  The most acceptable theory postulate that aging and its’ related disease are the consequence of free radical-induced damage to cellular macromolecules and the inability to counter balance these by endogenous anti-oxidant defenses. REVIVIFY®/ ENHANCES EVEN THE MOST POWERFUL ANTIOXIDANT SOD TO THE FURTHEST EXTENT AND INSTANT AGING SIGNS ARE REDUCED. INDEED, A BALANCING OF MITOCHONDRIAL FREE RADICALS BY SOD SEEMS TO HAVE A STRONGER CORRELATION WITH MAXIMUM LONGEVITY.

Confident people tend to set higher goals, have high level of motivation and achieve a higher level of well-being. The confident facial expression is one where the face shows a “Quality of Assurance”. This is why facial expression does matter. Tired and exhausted face relates to stress, confusion, and lack of confidence, which has a negative impact in both professional and personal lives.

Beauty is one of the vital aspects of a human being, especially women. To women, natural glowing face gives a sense of satisfaction. With the age and other environmental conditions skin can lose its elasticity and firmness and also produce wrinkles as a sign of aging. Skin as a protective organ faces most of the environmental challenges including UV light, temperature effect, stress effect and other hazardous effects. The skin undergoes most of the oxidative stress and needs healthy skin microbes, sufficient energy, adequate lipid and water balances.

What Exactly is SOD?

Superoxide Dismutase is an enzyme found in all living cells. An enzyme is a substance that speeds up certain chemical reactions in the body. The Superoxide Dismutase that is used as medicine is sometimes taken from cows. Some types of Superoxide Dismutase come from the melon, and some are made in a lab.

How does it work?

Superoxide Dismutase is an enzyme that helps break down potentially harmful oxygen molecules in cells. This might prevent damage to tissues. It is being researched to see if it can help conditions where harmful oxygen molecules are believed to play a role in disease.

Health Benefits

Superoxide Dismutase is said to slow up the aging process and reverse signs of aging in the skin.

Scientific research has only provided insight into a few health benefits of Superoxide Dismutase.

There’s also some evidence that taking Superoxide Dismutase in combination with gliadin (a type of protein sourced from wheat) may help protect against damage caused by oxidative stress. In a preliminary study published in Phytotherapy Research in 2004, for instance, tests on animals revealed that treatment with a combination of Superoxide Dismutase and gliadin may help increase antioxidant activity.

Overall, Superoxide Dismutase has been and is still being studied for its numerous health benefits and how it works to reverse oxidative stress in the body. Taking SOD in supplement form via gel or powder, such as REVIVIFY® For Life ensures bio-availability into the blood for maximum effect.

What Are Free Radicals And What Do They Do To Your Body?

Free radicals are unstable molecules that can damage the cells in your body. They form when atoms or molecules gain or lose electrons. They often occur as a result of normal metabolic processes but can also occur due to outside sources. For example, when your body uses oxygen, it creates free radicals as a by-product and the damage caused by those free radicals is called “oxidative stress.” You can also be exposed to free radicals that come from various environmental sources such as radiation, drugs, pesticides, solvents, cigarette smoke, and other pollutants.

Why Are Free Radicals So Bad?

When you’re young and healthy, your body does a pretty good job of dealing with these free radicals, and you don’t even notice anything. But, if you don’t eat right, smoke, or are exposed to a lot of environmental sources of free radicals, your risk for cellular and organ damage goes up. Oh, and aging takes its toll on your free radical defense system too.

Free radicals damage cells over time, so eventually whatever organ those cells belong to isn’t going to function quite as well as it should. For example, collagen gets weaker with free radical exposure, and as a result, your skin gets more wrinkles, sags and ages. Also, the walls of your arteries can get damaged, and cholesterol plaques build-up, which can reduce blood flow to your heart, brain, and other organs.

Excessive free radical exposure is also associated with an increased risk of chronic disease, like heart disease and cancer. Taking steps to avoid free radical exposure or “fix” the damage that’s been done will help reduce your risk.

So How Exactly Do You FIX or Get Rid of Free Radicals?

  • Antioxidants Are Crucial To Our Survival
  • Without Them Oxidation Would Destroy Our Bodies
  • Antioxidants Are “The Bodies Defense Mechanism” Against “Free Radicals”

Free Radicals, are the ones with the “Unpaired Electron” “Unstable One” “The Angry One”

Antioxidants are molecules that can safely donate an electron to a free radical, neutralizing it and terminating the chain reaction before molecules like DNA are damaged.

Once the chain reaction has been stopped it, prevents further cell damage. This reduces the risk of degenerative diseases and slows down the aging process.

What is the Best Antioxidant to Ward Off Free Radicals?

The super antioxidant or front line defense is Superoxide Dismutase (SOD). Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is an enzyme that alternately catalyzes the dismutation (or partitioning) of the superoxide radical into ordinary molecular oxygen and hydrogen peroxide… Thus, SOD is an important antioxidant defense in nearly all living cells exposed to oxygen.

Taking a supplement high in SOD and loaded with antioxidants is the best defense against damaging free radicals, feeling and looking healthy and reduce the overall signs of aging.

REVIVIFY® is a great supplement that is packed with Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) and antioxidants in an easy to use gel form. Our product is a patent pending formulation of SOD. Take once a day. Try our 30 day box. Visit our shop and keep free radicals at bay.
